Acestea au ilustrat diversitatea uman\u0103, adesea deconcertant\u0103 \u0219i stranie. Diferen\u021bele observate au individualizat un generic Cel\u0103lalt care devine cu timpul obiectul de studiu principal al antropologiei. \u00cen n\u0103zuin\u021ba ei de a formula o defini\u021bie c\u00e2t mai cuprinz\u0103toare asupra naturii umane, antropologia, prin nenumeratele sale \u0219coli \u0219i curente&nbsp;a creat multiple interpret\u0103ri desprinse din cercetarea de teren, o privire orientat\u0103 spre diferen\u021be sau spre constante.&nbsp; Alteritatea este construit\u0103 astfel prin raportare la o identitate civilizat\u0103. Marc Aug\u00e9 rezum\u0103 \u00een lucrarea sa \u00ab&nbsp;Pour une anthropologie des mondes contemporains&nbsp;\u00bb (1994)&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAntropologia devine posibil\u0103 \u0219i necesar\u0103 pornind de la o tripl\u0103 experien\u021b\u0103: experien\u021ba pluralit\u0103\u021bii, a alterit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i a identit\u0103\u021bii. Dificultatea pe care o prezint\u0103 istoria antropologiei pentru antropologii \u00een\u0219i\u0219i atunci c\u00e2nd se \u00eentreab\u0103 asupra acestei experien\u021be provine dintr-o confuzie originar\u0103 \u00eentre pluralitate \u0219i alteritate: ceilal\u021bi, pe care observatorii s-au dus s\u0103-i \u00eent\u00e2lneasc\u0103, se situau \u00een alt\u0103 parte, \u00een diversitatea unei lumi vaste, pe care trebuiau s\u0103 o descopere. Capacitatea de a te pune pe punctul de vedere al celuilalt \u0219i a \u00eembr\u0103\u021bi\u0219a \u00eentreaga sa viziune despre lume a definit privirea antropologic\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aceast\u0103 raportare nu \u00eei este rezervat\u0103 doar antropologului ci \u0219i sensibilit\u0103\u021bii artistului.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPractica mir\u0103rii\u201d, prin coexisten\u021ba \u00een comunitatea pe care o studiaz\u0103 \u0219i o portretizeaz\u0103 devine parte din crezul artistic al lui Paul Gaugain, artist care a influen\u021bat decisiv mi\u0219carea interna\u021bional\u0103 de arte decorative fin-de-si\u00e8cle, readuc\u00e2nd-o pe t\u0103r\u00e2mul imagina\u021biei. Picturile sale inspirate de lumina, localnicii \u0219i legenda insulelor polineziene exprim\u0103 un stil de via\u021b\u0103 primordial, departe de superficialitatea vie\u021bii moderne. Formele sunt simple, voluptoase \u0219i pline de culoare iar prin ele pare s\u0103 transpar\u0103 esen\u021ba umanului, \u00een toat\u0103 complexitatea sa. \u201eCa to\u021bi marii arti\u0219ti avea capacitatea de a ne comunica idei \u0219i sentimente universal valabile, \u00eentr-o manier\u0103 unic\u0103. Tablourile \u0219i sculpturile sale atrag imediat dar sunt \u0219i surprinz\u0103tor de complexe. Sunt drame psihologice care dezv\u0103luie melancolia \u0219i trauma ce \u00eei tulbur\u0103 pe subiec\u021bii s\u0103i, ce ne tulbur\u0103 pe noi to\u021bi.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reperele simbolismului lui Paul Gaugain le afl\u0103m \u0219i \u00een lucr\u0103rile de grafic\u0103 ale artistei Cecilia Cu\u021bescu-Stork. \u00cen expunere la Muzeul V\u00e2rstelor se afl\u0103 dou\u0103 reprezent\u0103ri ale feminit\u0103\u021bii \u0219i alterit\u0103\u021bii construite \u0219i impuse: \u201eDinamic\u201d \u0219i \u201eStatic\u201d. Figurile de \u021big\u0103nci \u00een pastel ne vorbesc despre Cel\u0103lalt aproape de noi \u0219i despre condi\u021bia femeii \u00een societatea rom\u00e2neasc\u0103 la \u00eenceputul secolului al XX-lea. Din jurnalul artistei afl\u0103m: &#8220;Modelele ce s-au perindat de-a lungul anilor prin atelierele noastre, aproape toate \u021big\u0103nci, aveau figuri expresive, mobile sau stranii [&#8230;]. Le apreciam nu numai pentru calit\u0103\u021bile lor plastice. Le surpindeam uneori \u00eeng\u00e2ndurate. \u00cemi m\u0103rturiseau necazurile.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cecilia Cu\u021bescu-Storck a \u00een\u021beles din&nbsp; copil\u0103rie c\u0103: \u201e\u00cen mine ardea alt\u0103 dorin\u021b\u0103: aceea de a \u00een\u021belege \u0219i de a putea reda aspectele omenirii prin umbre, lumini, nuan\u021be \u0219i contururi\u201d. Parcursul s\u0103u formativ, de la \u0219cola de pictur\u0103 Damenakademie din M\u00fcnchen la Acad\u00e9mie Julien din Paris, o va pune \u00een fa\u021ba experiment\u0103rii unor abord\u0103ri diverse, \u00eens\u0103 mereu axate pe o aprofundare a naturii \u0219i studierea operelor marilor arti\u0219ti. Lucrarea \u201eCap de indian\u201d pentru care ob\u021bine premiul I la un concurs \u00een cadrul academiei exprim\u0103 gustul epocii pentru imagini idealizate ale unor culturi exotice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De\u0219i recunoscut\u0103 mai ales pentru pictura sa monumental\u0103 \u0219i pentru faptul c\u0103 \u00een 1916 devine prima femeie din Europa care ocup\u0103 o catedr\u0103 universitar\u0103 de art\u0103, la \u0218coala de Arte Frumoase din Bucure\u0219ti, Cecilia Cu\u021bescu-Storck, prin opera \u0219i activitatea sa, \u0219i-a adus \u0219i o contribu\u021bie important\u0103 la mi\u0219carea de emancipare a femeilor \u00een Rom\u00e2nia, la \u00eenceputul secolului XX. \u00cen acest sens contribuie la formarea \u201cAsocia\u021biei pentru emanciparea civil\u0103 \u0219i politic\u0103 a femeii rom\u00e2ne\u201d \u0219i, \u00eempreun\u0103 cu artistele Olga Greceanu \u015fi Nina Arbore, pune bazele \u201eAsocia\u0163iei femeilor pictore \u015fi sculptore&#8221;, promov\u00e2nd astfel arta feminin\u0103 rom\u00e2neasc\u0103 \u00een saloanele organizate de asocia\u021bie.
